What is a young carer??

A young carer is a person under the age of 18 who helps to care for a parent, sibling or other family member.

The person being cared for may be affected by disability, illness or drug/alcohol misuse. Being a young carer is something to be proud of but can be difficult at times.

North Argyll Young Carers offer information, advice and support to Young Carers under the age of 18, who find themselves in a responsible role of being a carer.
